Hi I'm Andy Kinsey, but then you probably guessed that!

I have been designing websites since 2003, with clients since 2005. Since designing my first website all those years ago I have fallen deep and deeping in love with web design and design in general. From designing of football programmes &brochure design, to media advertisements to poster design and of course websites. It's my passion for design that makes my designs differnt from others, it's my want to be the best that means I strive to increase my own skill and therefore the quality of the sites I design. I've also developed a pet hobby over the past year of writing SEO Articles, which have moved from here to seoandy.com ... many of my articles are republished by serveral outlets including BoagWorld, where I also transcribe some of the audio podcasts.

Although most of my work is custom made to fit the problem I also have vast experience with platforms such as Wordpress, Zen Cart, CubeCart, Presta, Drupal and many other management systems. As I said most of the web development work is based around a custom CMS and e-commerce engine which has been developed with one of the Development Partners, Kirsty Burgoine.
One of the clients whom is currently using this platform is Spirit Beauty.

 

This is usually where designers and developers alike list various langauges and scripts they are familiar with, but this I believe is of little use to the end user. So instead I want to tell you a little about me as a person so you can get a picture of who you may work with on a future project. (And just to let you know if you want to know which languages I use check out my portfolio each lists the languages and scripts used).

About the person behind the designs

Born Andrew Kinsey, a child of the late 80's and brought up a Catholic. Andy has always been interested in technology and hasn't really been away from a computer since the age 8 when he got his first computer and taste of the internet! In primary school Andy recalls teaching a teacher how to use various applications including something that resembled word ... though he is not sure what it was! Some years later at high school (St Matthews RC High School) Andy began designing websites ... using tables and extremely bright colours (lime green and vibrant pinks were used). It was also at this point I really began to get geeky and play around with the machines and networking aspects. In 2005 Andy took on his first webdesign client, Maine Road Football Club, the next year the same client also had much of the football programmes for the year designed by Andy. After leaving school andy persued his want to be an electronic engineer studying a-levels in elections, physics and maths at Xaverian College. It was also during this time when Andy picked up several other web design clients and eventually realised that he wanted to be a designer and not an electronic engineer. In 2007, Andy left college and started his studies of Multimedia and Internet Technologies at the University of Salford. Two and a half years have passed and now on what is in essence a break from studies Andy Kinsey Designs is going from strength to strength reaching new clients and taking on new work. ... Oh and just as a little note the love of bright colours Andy had in high school still exists though in a much more creative and calmed manner as is shown by a number of his designs.
